Gratitude

definition:

the feeling of being grateful or of wanting to give your thanks to somebody

Gratitude is a powerful thing. It can change the way you think, the way you feel, and the way you live. It can make you appreciate the little things in life and make you feel happy, even in the toughest of times.

The past few months have been a rollercoaster ride. I worked on launching a new product at work, met new people, saw new places, lived life a little off the edge, and started marathon training with a sub-3:30 goal.

When everything is going super well, it is easy to say that you’re grateful for everything! However, it is when the times are testing that losing hope becomes very easy. This is the time when gratitude matters the most.

It shifts your focus from what’s lacking to what you still have. Even in the darkest moments, there are small blessings worth acknowledging, supportive people around you, food on the table, work that you love to do, or simply another day to try again.

The day when I have a tough workout, I don’t fear the workout, but when I complete the workout, it is when I’m really tired I feel so grateful for the legs I have, for the ability to be able to push through the pain!

The day when I show up not feeling 100% and my friends and supportive colleagues just recognise and help me talk about it. It’s in these moments I realise how grateful I am to have such amazing people in my life.

Grateful for everything in my life!

Just wanted to put these feelings out there :)
